1. Place the foot measurer on a flat and stable ground to ensure that it is placed horizontally without tilting or shaking.

2. Put the child's foot on the bottom plate of the foot measurer smoothly, and the heel is close to the back plate of the foot measurer, so that the central axis of the foot is roughly aligned with the central line of the foot measurer, and the toes are straight forward, and cannot be bent or skewed.

3. Push the sliding calipers or movable parts on the foot gauge to gently touch the top of the child's longest toe, and then read the corresponding scale value on the foot gauge, which is the child's foot length.
