Description

Model: UDK
1. Exquisite appearance and foldable design effectively protect the dial, extend its service life, and make it easy to carry
2. Damping dial: It is beneficial for the stability of the pointer, making it more suitable for movement and rough environments. (Rotate slowly when pointing, not insensitively)
3. Metal frame design, exquisite and beautiful, sturdy and durable, not easy to break
4.1:25000 meter coordinate ladder, convenient for measuring the distance between two points on a map, and also a powerful tool for geometric method mapping operations
5. Portable lifting ring: It can be tied with a hanging rope and can be hung around the neck or easily accessible in case of frequent use and occupation of both hands

Packaging list: North arrow * 1

Determine orientation:
1. Determine the southeast northwest direction of the current location
(1) Turn on the compass! Align the azimuth indicator "△" with "0";
(2) Rotate the compass and wait for the magnetic needle to align with "0" at the north end. At this point, the direction indicated is north, and on the orientation glass, the directions of east, south, west, and north can be directly read.
2. Calibrate the ten thousand positions of the map
Calibrating map orientation is the use of a compass to align the orientation on the map with the current location.
(1) Turn on the instrument and adjust the dial seat to align the orientation indicator "△" with "0";
(2) Tangent the true meridian on the map with a surveying ruler;
(3) Rotate the map so that the north end of the magnetic needle points towards the value of the magnetic declination in the local area, and the orientation on the map is completely consistent with the local orientation.

3. Measure the magnetic azimuth angle
A. Determine the magnetic azimuth angle of the target on the map
(1) Use the compass to accurately calibrate the map and keep it stationary;
(2) Tangent the measuring ruler to the line between the point and the target point, adjust the dial base to align the indicator "△" with the "0" marking line;
(3) After the magnetic needle is stationary, the scale on the dial base indicated by its north end is the magnetic azimuth value from the point it is located to the target point.
B. Determine the magnetic azimuth angle of the local target
(1) Turn on the instrument, align the orientation indicator "△" with "0", and make the reflector and dial seat slightly at a 45 ° angle;
(2) Insert your thumb into the lifting ring, hold the instrument flat, and aim towards the target being measured from the aiming compass;
(3) Gazing at the graduation mark on the dial base aligned with the north end of the magnetic needle from the reflector is the magnetic azimuth value of the local target

Precautions:
1. Use a compass in a level state to ensure accurate readings as much as possible;
2. Do not use force to hit the compass to avoid affecting accuracy;
3. Keep the compass clean and avoid corrosion;
4. Do not approach magnetic substances to avoid loss of magnetism;
5. To avoid magnetic disorder, please stay away from high voltage electricity, speakers, magnets, generators, and other strong magnetic objects.
